What we process and why
- Orders: name, email address, company and registration number if given, the address of the website to be audited or built, content you send us, and the payment confirmation (order number and amount). We use it to deliver the service and answer questions. Legal basis: the contract with you and our bookkeeping obligation (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b) and (c)).
- Email to us: the content of your message, to reply to you (contract or legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(b) and (f)).
- Access log: our web server logs every request to webbit.no: IP address, time, the address opened, the referring page and the browser identification (user agent). We use it for security, operation and to see whether links we have sent are opened. Legal basis: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)). The log is deleted automatically after at most 30 days.
- Our email to businesses: we contact businesses at public role addresses (such as post@) shown on their website or in the Norwegian business register, and we may have read the public pages of the website before writing. Legal basis: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)). If you ask us to stop, the address goes on a suppression list so you are never contacted again.
A website scan uses ordinary HTTP requests, like a browser. We do not log in, submit forms or store cookies from the website. The report contains only what is publicly visible.

Some providers, including the AI providers, may process data outside the EEA, for example in the United States. Such transfers rely on the providers' own transfer safeguards, such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or an EU adequacy decision. We never sell personal data.
Retention
Orders, reports and correspondence are kept for up to 2 years after the last contact and then deleted. Accounting records are kept for 5 years, as Norwegian bookkeeping law requires. The access log is deleted after at most 30 days. The email suppression list is kept for as long as it is needed to respect your request.
Your rights
You may request access, correction, deletion, restriction and data portability, and you may object to processing based on legitimate interest. Email sales@webbit.no; we reply within 30 days. You may also complain to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority, Datatilsynet.
Cookies
webbit.no sets no cookies and uses no tracking or advertising tools. The PayPal and Paddle payment windows set cookies under their own rules.
